It’s a basic principle of automatic transmissions: More throttle input
results in higher transmission line pressure to keep the clutch plates
engaged. The problem is, once the Power Stroke engine is modified,
it produces more power and torque with less throttle input, which means
the engine may be producing peak torque when line pressure is still
low. The result can be clutch slippage, increased heat, and accelerated
wear.
The BD PressureLoc for 1995-2003 Ford E40D and 4R100 transmissions simply plugs
in to the transmission and increases line pressure to hold the clutch plates
together at peak torque. The PressureLoc increases the pressure every time the
lock up clutch engages, increasing pressure to both the clutches.
The PressureLoc is particularly useful in exhaust brake applications, as exhaust
brakes engage when the throttle is released, and line pressure is at its lowest.
With PressureLoc, maximum pressure is applied to the transmission, allowing you
to utilize 100% of the exhaust brake’s retarding power.
Reduced slippage. Greater control. You can’t afford not to have the PressureLoc
on your Ford transmission! Call and order yours today!
